unable to connect database to server
nothing doesn't mean, just as if I pressed enter. the cursor jumps to the beginning of the next line, nothing more. like this smash@linux: psql -U postgres template1 #press enter #now the cursor is here, nothing else- smasherino

by nothing i actually meant nothing. i pressed enter and nothing happend, no error, nothing. I am running on Suse Linux, the psql-version is 7.4.3 i've tried psql -U postgres template1 the answer was psql: could not connect to the server: l@y@ is the server running and does it accept...- smasherino
