Hi all,
I've been having the same problem now for a while, thought I got it fixed and now it's back....I'm stumped!
This has happened on more than one application so I don't think it's application specific, but in this particular case it happens to be Biztalk messaging service. The other one...
Hi all,
I've got my own little domain at home with 2 machines.
One client one server
The server is set up with win2k, Active Directory.
I've set up ISA server so I can browse from the client (and test various scenarios regarding ISA for work)
Problem is, the DNS is set up as a root server.
I'm...
We're using backup exec with exchange 2000 - no problems, backing up 80gb's worth of information stores and mailbox backups....something to remember though -
Mailbox backup is ONLY useful for restoring mailboxes....you can't recover from a disaster with only a mailbox backup. Gotta back up...
Check for ANY connections to the old server, ipc or otherwise....I noticed windows for some reason checks all your connections even when clicking on the start button - anything that used to be there but isn't has to time out before it carries on...Not sure if this applies to opening files but...
I'm not familiar with the unix & so I'm not sure if this maps to what you need....
you could use the start command...although this launches a new environment it let's the original environment continue batch processing while the other one completes. You can run it minimised....

Running a defrag doesn't change the size of the file.
"Microsoft are aware of the problem" - i.e. you already bought it so why should we fix it?
The mailboxes are defraged and size IS actually made smaller, but the file still registers the same allocation space on the disk.
Think...
I'm not sure message tracking gives you the content of the mails....
If possible, I'd suggest sneaking onto their machine and setting up client rules that forward copies of sent items to yourself or your boss. Either that or make sure outlook is configured to save sent messages in the sent...
Sorry, just had to say, if ArcServ have a product that can restore something you haven't backed up...I WANT IT!
Seriously though, without the brick-level backup, you're dead right with your idea and gharr99's initial suggestion is correct....you might have some probs with computer sids though...
Is the email address external to your network? I'm guessing so cos it's smtp....
Try find another address on that domain and send to it. (If it's bill@microsoft.com find someone else @microsoft.com and send it to them as well.
If you get the same NDR it sounds like the remote server you're...
Thanks - Tried that and actually went even another step further....
When you go into my computer properties, advanced, user profiles - the computer reads the profiled users from the regkey with the associated SID under HKLM/software/microsoft/windowsNT/currentversion/profilelist/<corresponding...
Well the subject says it all really....
My user gets deleted, recreate the account with new SID etc. but of course my profile on my laptop references the old SID which no longer exists - so try as I might I can't get my old profile across to the new account.
I've tried copying user.dat files...
AFAIK, celeron doesn't have the cache of a P4 and P4 is different architecture. Seeing as budget is a consideration I'd go for the celeron. If you really need those picoseconds then the budget must be sacrificed!
For any chip go to the relevant manufacturers site and read the specs for...
Certain client pc's? Do you have access to these pc's and are they a reasonable small number?
If so, enable content advisor on internet explorer (if that's what you're using....) on each client and go to approved sites, add your urls and say never. By enabling this feature it asks you for a...
