I am FTPING files from one AIX system to another.
How do I retain the x (execute) authority on the files.
After I transferred the files I found that the X authority had been removed and I had to CHMOD later... is there a switch that I am missing I am using NcFTP

Just to expand on this a little
With AIX 4.3.3 a new security "feature" requires reverse DNS.
The problem was corrected by creating the reverse DNS zone only.
The problem with using only the following file
Perhaps you also need to look into an /etc/netsvc.conf file....creating...
on your DNS server NT4 create a reverse DNS zone and on the AIX system add the file that AIXQUEEN suggested....

I am trying to log on to the P660 using a Jump Server using Hummingbird.
Sometimes I will get a list of servers to attach to and sometimes none. it may take 5 minutes...
I currently have a couple of issues on a P660 running AIX v4.3.3
1) It takes between 30-60 seconds for a login prompt to appear in a telnet session. It should only take a few seconds.
2) The server seems to be unable to respond to XDMCP requests from another server.
