Thanks bcastner. That was my problem, the security policy.msc had nothing after the "Allow logon through Terminal Services".
Once I added those groups, it worked well. As a matter of fact, I am using the remote desktop on that machine to type this!
Thanks. I figured out my problem, I had HyperTerminal set to Hardware flow control (one of the 3Com knowledge base articles said set the speed to 19,200, everything else to default). I found another knowledge base article that said no flow control. Once I did that, it worked like a charm.
The IT guy before me set up this switch and I can't figure out what the IP address is. I tried connecting via the console port, but I get nothing. I am using HyperTerminal with settings of 9600,8,N,1. The max speed for the port is 19200. I have tried different speeds, but get the same...
I have three 3300 switches (2 are SS 3 & 1 is SS II). When I access the web management interface they are listed as xx.xx.xx.xx/dev01, xx.xx.xx.xx/dev02, etc. They all appear to have the same IP address. My question is does each one have to have a unique IP address or is one IP address for...
Our office has a SDSL connection with a static IP address. I am trying to access the office lan from home. I am using SSH Sentinel 1.3.2.2 with a Linksys BEFVP41 ver 2, with firmware 1.00.13. All the articles and threads I've seen here and other websites (incl linksys support) have the...
I have several XP pro machines with remote desktop working fine. I am having a problem with one, the only one that wasn't a clean install of the OS. I can connect to the remote desktop, get the login prompt. If I put my password in wrong, it tells me. If I put it in correctly it tells me that...
Update, I just looked at another post from a couple of weeks back. After deleting the record from the database, you must first exit ArcServe. I had to delete it twice and exit twice before it was actually gone. After that the erase worked great. Thanks again.
Thanks for the info, but that didn't work either. I have no tapes at all in the database (only my FS device is listed under the "Media"), but I still cannot format or erase any of the tapes. The error message is the same.
I installed v. 11 on a Win2K box. I tried to set up my own rotation, but it wasn't working. I decided to go with the standard GFS rotation, so I deleted my media pools. Now I can't use any of the tapes from the original media pools to backup nor can I re-format them to be part of the new GFS...
Massachusetts wants us to round SUTA and training taxes that employers pay. We have a formula that ends with ANSWER=-TAXABLE_GROSS*PERCENT% to figure out both. How can I say that the answer is the integer value of (-TAXABLE_GROSS*PERCENT%) if the fractional value is < .5; and the answer is the...
I need to select records based on the hour:minute portion of the date time field. The field is year to second. I can set up a query with dynamic dates, but is it possible to pull specific times, for example 08:15 to 17:15 in a given week, month, year, etc., without the user having to input the...
My wife's small business just upgraded from CA 2003 to CA 2004 in October. This product is installed on W2K computers (4) & 1 XP Pro. We have a 5 user license, but periodically one of the machines (not always the same one) will revert back to "trial" mode and give the splash screen...
