Delayed Message Resend on Exchange Server 5.5

A little more information: The server reboot didn't help. :( But, only duplicate messages are sent, when an initial message is sent to a mailing list- individual emails aren't being sent two or three times. I've checked the mailing lists and there aren't any duplicate entries.

Delayed Message Resend on Exchange Server 5.5

Yes, NAV for Exchange is running on my email server. I just restarted the server, to see if that fixes it, but what are your thoughts as to what is happening?

Delayed Message Resend on Exchange Server 5.5

Hey All. I'm running into a strange little problem. My Exchange 5.5 server is sending duplicates of messages, sometimes within a minute of the first sending, or sometimes days after. I'm not sure what's going on, the logs I've looked at don't seem to help. Thanks for the help.

    Domain Masquerading

I was curious about how to setup Domain Masquerading, in Exchange 2000, so that messages from an Exchange server called "jim.bob.com" would look like email coming from "dan.bob.com"? Thanks.

Can I edit a Windows 98 roaming profile?

wolluf, Yes, the machine is setup for multiple users. I never thought about the user.dat copying... I'll give that a try. But, if Office were re-installed from the user, wouldn't that cause a problem with the other users, trying to use Office? At least that's what I've seen from my...

Upgrading from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000- not your usual upgrade

Back in December, I rebuilt the the server, in my Department, at a University. I replaced NT 4.0 with Windows 2000 Server (joined an existing domain)and installed Exchange 5.5 on it. I am now wanting to gear up and upgrade Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000. After all of the reading I have done, I...

Can I edit a Windows 98 roaming profile?

hey comtec17. But, if I point the link to the executable, it still gives me the error that the software isn't installed. Maybe I need to update the USER.DAT in the roaming profile?

Win2k Server & Exchange 5.5 static port mapping problem with DS and IS

I'm a little late with this, but here goes: The problem that I encountered was that I somehow misconfigured Exchange 5.5 and instead of giving the FQDN for the server, after getting Outlook configured for the server, it would only pass the hostname. As a quick patch, until I can do a...

Can I edit a Windows 98 roaming profile?

Hey All. I formatted and reinstalled Windows 98 on a computer and copied everything, with regards to it's configuration. A user who had an existing roaming profile log'd in and couldn't use Microsoft Office, because an error message came up and said it wasn't installed, when it clearly is...

Win2k Server & Exchange 5.5 static port mapping problem with DS and IS

Here's more information about the problem: There are multiple buildings and the AD spans all of them. Email can only be accessed in the building (where I work) where the Exchange server is. The question now: do I need to install the ADC, when running Exchange 5.5 in an AD, when the AD spans...

Win2k Server & Exchange 5.5 static port mapping problem with DS and IS

Here's a little more information for you: I setup 1225 and 1226 as the ports that Exchange 5.5 communicates on. Port 1225 receives communication just fine, but it's port 1226 that isn't. Any help would be GREATLY appriciated.

Win2k Server & Exchange 5.5 static port mapping problem with DS and IS

I just upgraded the server in my building from Windows NT 4.0 Server to Windows 2000 Server. I back'd up and removed Exchange 5.5 before doing so, then re-installed it and restored all mailboxes and map'd users. Everything went fine. My predecesor setup Exchange 5.5 (with the static port...
