L5500 IBM LTO Gen2 Dynamic wwn feature
Yes, the L5500 does support changing the wwn. Storagetek technicians have a utility to do this. I have had several drives replaced in a L5500 and the Storagetek technician that replaced the drive changed the wwn on the new drive to match the wwn of the old drive.
