Please help, I'm desperate!

Here's the problem: I change the style of the list numbers, which throws the numbering off. So I reapply the numbering, which reverts the style back to the previous, unwanted, old style. Cannot figure out a workaround. Any help is greatly appreciated! Sincerely, Shawn

No, each part doesn't have its own page numbering. The numbering is continual throughout the doc. Do you think this document is corrupted somehow? I don't want to give on it yet, because of all the work that's gone into it.
