Hello, I have a few 1924 Cat switches and also a few 1912 cat switches. I am trying to upgrade the IOS on all these Switches with Cisco Works. I have no problem with 1924's but I can not load image in to the 1912's. any Idea? Thanks

You are wright That is called boot Flash and it is a subset of IOS but it is only on high end routers like 7200 not low end, so for the 1700 model there is realy no boot flash. the best way to recover it is to use Xmodem in Rommon mode or even TFTP and download it.

yes, you could do that the only thing is that the 2620 comes only with 1 Ethernet if you have a 2621 you could use that because they come with 2 ethernet. you could also get an ethernet module with 1 and 4 port Ethernet 10base-T on it for the 2620.
