Hello everyone!
I recently built a system with the motherboard P4X400 Dragon Lite SOYO, 256 MB RAM, 2.6GHZ Celeron. I used an old hard disk from my old HP system running originally Windows ME which I also upgraded to Win2000. The HP system (766 MHZ Celeron, 198MB RAM, 30GB HD) was running very...
OK! I'm still confused. Let me try to report the problems as they first showed at startup.
The diagnostics screen at startup say the right data:
Main Processor : Intel Celeron(R) 2.7 GHZ (100x27.0)
Memory testing: 262144K
...
CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded
Warning! CPU has been changed...
Hi, I just built a new computer with a motherboard SOYO P4X400 Dragon Lite. After turning off the whole system, my optical mouse light stays on. Is that an indication of a connection problem or is it normal? What could be wrong? Please help.
Thanks
I did clear the CMOS and it still doesn't solve the problem. The options "CPU Frequency Select" and "CPU ratio" are still not shown contrarily to the indications of the manual. Here is the screen I got to change CPU's clock and voltage:
System Performance ---> Normal [Fast/Turbo]
Frequency 1MHZ...
Yes, I followed the procedures from the manual and it did not work. If I clear the CMOS, will I have the right data back? By the way, to clear CMOS, they mentioned from the manual to unplug the ATX power cable. You also proposed to unplug battery, does that refer to something else? or which...
Yes, the manual says exactly where to find it. It is called "Soyo Combo Feature" and the option is not there. The illustrations from the manual even show that feature.
Thanks
I have a new motherboard "P4X400 Dragon Lite" that I'm trying to use with my old hard drive. When accessing the CMOS, the option to modify the CPU clock ratio as referred by the documentation is not present. What do you think I should do? Is clearing the CMOS a possible solution? Please help!
Thanks
Questions about dual boot have been asked several times. For a beginner like myself, it's sometimes confusing to consider the best way to proceed from the different answers. So, in my situation, is reformatting the disk the easiest way to go? And should I do it myself? I don't know if Windows...
I'm seeking for some advice on how to properly install both Windows XP with RedHat 9.
I previously installed Windows XP on my computer with a few programs and Windows is already activated. My 80GB Hard drive is NTFS formatted and only 1 partition is present. I don't have tools to repartition on...
Thank you all so much! I finally figured out that my problem was not with the SATA but with the F8 key of my new Logitech Elite Keyboard. For some reason, the F8 key doesn't work. I'm returning the keyboard. Very weird! I should have figured this out from the very beginning but I obviously had...
Isn't it a good practice to supply the recommended drivers that come with the motherboard with F6 option when installing Windows XP? I'm a little bit confused.
Thanks.
