Loud fan noise and freeze when IE 6 is opened

Windows XP Stalling On Startup
Hi, I have Windows XP and it works great... except for when it first boots up. When I boot up and I'm at my desktop, I can pretty much open up most programs that I've installed and they work fine. Stalling Windows XP
By the way, I have an Athlon 1.33 Ghz, an 60 GB HDD, Windows XP, 512 mb of ddr ram, and a 32 mb ati video card. My computer isn't slow at ANY other times and I have updated my norton anti-virus software, and my system has come out clean from any virii.- Sentry434
