I did check the BIOS and I thought it had the device displayed but it did not. I saw the master was a zip drive that came with the machine and I disconnected it used the master for the Cd burner and it worked. Thanks for your help.

I installed Windows 2000 on a PC and installed a CD burner. Windows does not recognize it. I have checked the connections and it does have power when it first boots but after Windows loads it does not. It is a cheap CyberDrive CW078D 40x12x48. Thanks
