Through AD Users and Computers in the user tab there is a selection for specifying which computers that person can logon to....is this the only way to ensure a user doesn't logon more than once??

I'm testing changing domains for an Exchange 5.5 server in a Windows 2000 environment.
Two W2K Domains
1. I established trust relationship between the two domains.
2. I've added the target domain service account to the site, org and config containers along with the NT-Descriptor in the schema...

I've setup two domains and am running Move Server to setup the exchange server on the new domain. You're saying i can run the ADMT tool to migrate the service account from the old to the new?

Yeah i can log in to the Domain Controller from the other servers including the new one. But when it looks for a domain controller specifically it says it can't fine one. Even though it's logged in to the DC. Just can't resolve the name from the IP. Trying to set up a test environment to...
I need to demote and then promote my w2k DC due to a problem in DNS during installation causing a disjointed name space ("computername.domain" instead of "computername.domain.com like all others). I tried adding another DC so i could replicate and then demote the other but it...
I need to demote and then promote my w2k DC due to a problem in DNS during installation causing a disjointed name space (company instead of company.com like all others).

I can access the program as the same user logged in locally (with apparently...
I will be replacing the four (3 hot swap, 1 hot spare) drives with new ones sent to me by IBM. My question is, as i'm fairly new to RAID, if i replace the drives, configure RAID 5 for these drives (setting up logical drives etc as i need them), install the OS, and finally restore from backup...
On one desktop the user tries to send an e-mail of the word document but doesn't get the internal receipients (have outlook 2000 and exchange 5.5). Within excel you do get the recepients when trying to e-mail.
It's only on the one desktop so i'm assuming i can run an office repair to fix the...
Thanks for the post. I am aware of removing programs from MSCONFIG and have removed everything except what i need. I'll try removing anything with .old and see if that helps. Apparently the AV is searching for the 3.1x directory even though i don't have that OS selected in the distribution...
