i'm new to tsm.
an external company has installed TSM on our server.
the disk (tape also)storage pools are (windows, linux, aix).
Is this partition usefull or is better to have only one stg-pool or is another partion cleverer (client1-5, client6-10, ...).

we have tsm-server (vers. 5.2.1.6) running under windows-nt
with an attached 3583-lib.
we plan to create a new server (new Hardware, old library)
under windows 2003 amd tsm vers. 6.x.
what is the best way to get the new server running whith
the old library?

i have 4 clients which backup the their logs every 10 minutes (TDP for MS SQL). that means, every 10 minutes they write to the server activity log. how can i reduce this output.

we are using nfs between 2 AIX-Servers over a WAN.
Now we have installed ACL's on the Routers. Can someone tell
me which Ports are used by NFS. I think the ports are changing after every reboot of one of the servers.
