Found It!
It was the alternative user input date.
I removed the US keyboard layout and the Us speech, handwriting recognition utilities.
As I am an Aussie, I had all the Australian Layouts and speech recognition.

sorry I can't mark your tips as helpful, cause it opens in another window and of course, they both close. I will try the office forum and see how I go there.
one thing I did find in the registry (not that I am very confident about meddling with it) is that I have
msctf(2)dll, amd mscft dll should I have the one with (2) on it

This is the error when I try to open 2 iexplorer windows

Using XP Pro Ie6, Office XP.
When I open 1 program eg. IE, I can't open a second window, both windows close.
If i have Ie open, I can't open applications like system info. Also have the same problems with Email, Iexplorer windows, (can't open link in new window) both close.
I get the error...
