Are these Users accessing GroupWise via TCPIP, IPX or UNC Path? Make sure that these Users can see AND access the network at the time of the error.

Not that I am aware for the User Objects... but if this has anything to do with GroupWise, that can be easily dealt with.
If you don't mind my asking, why do you want to modify a Users GUID?

Are you also getting error messages on your POA? Probably.
When you get a User that is having this problem, take a look through MONITOR in FILE OPEN/LOCK ACTIVITY, at the Users USERxxx.DB file. I bet you will find that it is locked open by another User.
The main fix would be to run Maintenance...

Check your Firmware level to make sure that you are running the latest and greatest version. Using an older version of Firmware may have an incompatibility between modules.

Are your NetWare Servers connected via IPX or TCPIP. Look at your connection in the NetWare console of the Server in Germany. Does it show a TCPIP address for you, or a IPX Net number and MAC Address?
