When the browser in closed using X button the session still exists in the server till the timeout period. Could anyone please give a Javascript/J2ee implementation of achieving this?

As of now I'm terminating the session using session time out.But I want to terminate session when the user closes the browser window using X button. How to implemen this using Javascript/J2EE?

Gauri, you can use a feature - 'External rollup'. If you this feature, Cognos will not roll up any measure to any level. You have to provide your own transactional data source for each level. Please refer cognos documentation for detail. Regards Sadhi

Can anyone give me a workaround to get a category count for an external rollup. As per cognos documentation, it's not permissible.
