I have a test box NT 4.0 Server and someone changed the administrators password. They apparently shut it down and now I cannot log into it. Is there anyway of retrieving the password.. I do not have any NT Server CD's for a full restore... HELP!!!! Thanks E.

Thanks.. I was wondering.. I can sit on the firewall server and pcanywhere to my desktop at my house without a problem. Do I still need to make this change to the registry?? I am on the same 3com switch as the servers are.. not sure if a problem cause I am going through this type of switch...

Make sure you are using the external ip address of the firewall... And also check on the server that you are allowed dial in access.. Elizabeth

Help... A client installed a dsl at her house and now she cannot vpn in.. She had no problems using a modem and a simple isp account... she has 2000 pro. OS and we have a 2000 server... any ideas or links I can go to for help.. thanks Elizabeth

I had created a username (which personel gave the wrong spelling) so I tried to rename it to the correct name.. It did not work, so I deleted the name and tried to re-create it but it comes up with this error.. Windows cannot create the new user object because the pre-Windows 2000 logon name...
