The Documents you speak of are a list of the last 15 docs(photos, word docs, etc.) accessed. You can use Tweakui(free download) and once installed, you can run it and choose the paranoia tab and select Clear Document history at logon.
Have Client for Microsoft Networks installed. Goto properties of Client and make sure there is no check mark in box for Logon to NT domain. Make sure File and Print sharing for Microsoft Networks is installed. Set Client for Microsoft Networks as you Primary Login.
