Now as I bootup I have no lights and no screen but I hear the Fan going. I tried to swap out the HD but it still does the same thing. I tried to save my data my using an adapter but I get a red light on the adapter and I see no new drive displayed on my desktop......Any ideas??????
I think the error said "C0000218". I found a fix for this at Microsoft support and it said to rename certain files and replace them with files in one of the system files.
I think my disk maybe dead.....
I used the XP restore CD to try and at least get my data back and it says the it could not detect my HD. I have tried to do this with the DOS prompt as well......but no good. I really don't want to pay the $$$ to get it back.
I have a toshiba laptop HD and I ran a repair on it and the repair really never finishes and now I try to bootup and I get the" operating system not found". I have also tried to use a hard drive adapter to see if I can see my laptop HD on a desktop PC but it doesn't. Any ideas on this one??

I tried to view a picture on my M130 and I was using jpegwatch. I was able to see the picture on palm desktop but when I tried to use jpegwatch it said "processing image"

How can you enable group policy in XP to prohibit anyone on my network from installing any software (games, etc.) on the computer. I have a 14 y/o and a 10 y/o sons who I want to get a computer for, but do not want them to install any games, etc. without my knowledge????
