No, I'm not using PC-Cillan and there is no need to switch to DHCP since there is no DHCP server. All IP's are static. I'm pretty sure all my settings on my machine are OK, and there is something on the server side of things that I'm not configuring corectly. I'll keep fighting with this...- rsanchez

Well see that's where I'm stuck. I'm not sure how to check to see if the IP I've given the machine is permited to connect through the proxy. Also about the DNS servers those are entered correctly as well. Thanks for your help. Rodrigo- rsanchez

See, I've checked the settings on other machines that do have e-mail access and I've made sure that the settings are the same. Still, nothing. I've tried everything that I know, and windows isn't really my strength. I've made sure that the name servers are the same, port numbers are the same and...- rsanchez

Hey, i'm using an XP pro box and I'm having trouble receiving e-mail. I get error number 0x800CCC0D. The host 'xxx.xxx.xxx' could not be found please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Now I know that the server name/account name/passwords are all fine yet I still can't...- rsanchez
