I am somewhat confused.
I want to use my linksys router and use a 2003 server to manage my network (using AD). I've listend to the advice on this board and know that I should have the DHCP server be the Win box and not the router.
Is there a way to have the server connect to the ISP for...
I assume you disabled the firewall before trying to ping the printer -- or at least put the printer's IP as permitted through the firewall....
I also figure that you tried and verified that the printer works via the USB connection....
It's not much but I hope it helps.

1. What is the suggested configuration for setting up a Windows 2003 server SMALL (>10 machines with 1 server) network (I've read many ideas):
a. Router -- > Server ---> Switch ---> Network
.....where the Server has 1 NIC for the Router and the internet and 1 NIC...
I am new to configuring Windows server 2003 and I have the following situation.
Cable Modem -> Wired Router -> Workgroup network.
I would like to convert to a domain network with Server 2003.
Questions:
1. Should I keep the Linksys Router as the DHCP Client or should I have the Domain...
Is there a way to change the SRC property from linking images as /images/image1.gif to ../images/image1.gif. I could do it by hand but it would take forever. Can this be changed globally somewhere?
Thanks.
I sort of solved the problem.
I put the local files anywhere.
I put the remote and the testing to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\cars. I did it as a regular directory in the root of the web server, NOT as a virutal.
I then changed the SRC property for some images from /image/image1.gif to...
Thanks.
I tried those things and still no success. What strange is that the macromedia test site, the RecordStoreDotNet works without a hitch. It's folder is C:/inetpub/wwwroot/recordstoredotnet which equals //localhost/recordstoredotnet. Obviously I put the car site in the wwwroot folder so...
I am having a problem getting IIS to properly map my web root.
I'm using DWMX and have never had this problem beofre. I've always used (on the same machine) F:/SITES/[the site] as the local storage area and then C:/localhost/Webs/[the site] as the testing server. [the site] = the name of the...
Is there way to copy and paste a pivot chart from access to any other program? I have the EXACT data/chart that I need in a pivot chart but the copy and past features are disabled. I am only able to copy the data itself. And while I can copy the data and then design the actual chart in Excel...
I am trying to design a query to do the following:
I have an access database that track orders. tbl_orders has a list of all the orders. The table has the order ID, date, the day, and the type of order. E.g:
500 12/12/2003 FRI software
501 12/12/2003 FRI hardware
502 12/12/2003 FRI hardware...
Why, you ask?
Because it is WAY to difficult to get things done in filemaker. All the advice I've been gettings is about tricks and workarounds. I think that filemaker has its place, but I am finding it quite impractical for very complicated relational databases.
again...just one man's...
Unfortunately there is no access for the mac. My only other choice is to take the access application, convert it to sql server, and web-enable it.
As for conversion, I found myself converting a filemaker database to PC to print (mac was having printing issues -- separate thing :) ) and I found...
Dear All,
I am an access user and I need to make my access database work on the Mac. I am working with Filmaker 6 Pro trial version in order to see if this package will work for my needs. I am having quite a bit of trouble with more complicated queries (that were relatively easier to design...
In advance..any help is greatly appreciated....
I am an experienced Access user and I have to move a database to filemaker. Within filemaker,I am having trouble getting lookup fields to work with relationships. I've scaled it down to a simple example.\:
