e2003 can only send from the same domain as the domain controller

    1. By default SMTP relay is disabled for anyone outside your network. 2. Yes you have to run DNS if you aren't using a smart host as Exchange uses DNS to lookup domain names.

    Outlook asking for password

Hi I have an Exchange 2003 server running with 6 remote offices connected to it with a permanent VPN. Each office has a different domain name. Every remote user is prompted for a username and password every time they open up Outlook. I have added the username and password in the Manage Passwords...

    WINDOWS SERVER 2003

Windows Server 2003 does not have a firewall like Windows XP. Unless you have ISA a standard Windows server has no firewall whatsoever and cannot protect a network.

Workstaion back to workgroup, keeping profile?

Yeah I see what you're saying. I will try that but I'm sure I had problems in the past doing that. Its ok copying different users ie. local to local and domain to domain but not from domain to local I'm sure. Will give it a bash. Thanks again

Workstaion back to workgroup, keeping profile?

You see when I highlight the domain account on the workstation the Copy To button greys out but if its a local account I am able to copy it. I'm just worried that I'll have to reinstall and resetup everything after its joined to a workgroup. Thanks

    2 Domains

Hi I was wondering if you can have Windows XP logging on to 2 different domains? I have a laptop that I use at home and at work. Restore SQL DB to different name/area

How do I restore the database to 'some temp area'? I use MS SQL 2000 and have the same problem as the original poster has. I can't see how to restore the database files without overwriting the existing db or creating a new db in SQL. Thanks
