Thanks, again, tfi. Word 2003 is part of the Office suite, not the Works suite. She said that nothing new has been loaded since the last time she could copy and paste - we'll see!

Thanks for your prompt, and helpful, replies. I started Word in Safe Mode as you suggested, tfi, and copy and paste worked just perfectly!
There is no tool running in the background, Andy, and the problem happens when Word is up and running.
Through the Safe Mode tip I've bought some time. Now...
A client can't copy and paste in Word 2003 (Windows XP Pro). The toolbar buttons are active, as are the menu items. But those, and CTRL+C doesn't add anything to the clipboard. Copying and pasting in Excel works just fine. She can copy from Excel and paste into Word. She can Cut from Word (in...
I have a Mac-using client who created a Word template and has two problems.
1. He can't save the template as a document, only as a template,
and
2. When he sends that template as an e-mail attachment to a Windows user, that user can't open the attachment.
Any idea what's going on and how we...
Thanks, Murgle! I notice that, when clicking on that e-mail link, a new message window opens just as I would expect it to. But returning to the PDF and clicking on the same e-mail link again opens a browser, with a message that it couldn't find the page. Going back to the PDF and...
I've been unsuccessful in creating an active e-mail link in a PDF. Links to URLs .... just fine. But I'd like a reader to click on a link (not unlike in Word, for example) to open a new e-mail message window. Is this possible? And, if so ... can you guide me through the steps?
Thanks!
An instructor has PPT 2003 slides available on Blackboard (a Course Management System) but they open with the PPT software, allowing students to change the presentation - not a good thing!
Blackboard issues aside, I'm wondering if there's a way to save PPT presentations (PDF?) to insure that a...
Peter - let me clarify my last post. There is a Message Header option on the View menu only for messages received. When creating a new message or replying to a message, there is no Message Header option on the View menu for messages to be sent.
Thanks, Peter - that solution works on reply messages but there is no Message option on the View menu for a new message. Is that a clue something else may be wrong?
When creating a new message, or replying to an e-mail message, only the "To" field appears - not the "CC" or "Subject" fields. The message area appears, but do you have any idea how to restore the "CC" and "Subject" fields?
Thanks!
Thanks for such a prompt reply! Our IT guy says that Office 2003 doesn't have the shortcut bar anymore but your answer indicates that this is a Windows feature. Did I understand you correctly?
Installing Office 2003 removed the little toolbar that floated on top of my programs. This toolbar had buttons for each Office application. Do you know how I can recreate that helpful little thing in Windows XP and Office 2003?
Thanks!
Thanks, Dreamboat ... I was hoping that this could all be accomplished without leaving Word 2003, but I guess not.
dcompto - thanks for your ideas but that sorts by first name and we need to break the names apart and sort by each last name.
