Yes, in some cases it will be just plain text, but in the case of the excel files they are spreadsheets that have several formulas, and color coded areas incorporated and so have to be seen as created. This works in IE5 but not netscape.<br>

some of the files have been created in "vi" so I guess would be considered ascii/text. I have also got excel files that are sitting in the UNIX world on the server- ok if you serve "as is" to IE 5 but do not work if you use Netscape. Others are log files generated by the system.<br>
