Try the following (routinely, or as needed):
Exit Lotus Notes
Delete the Cache.dsk file from the ..../Notes/Data Directory
Launch Notes and go to the Workspace page
Right click anywhere on 'open' space (e.g. not on any icon)
Select Workspace Properties
Click the 2nd tab, then click Compact

Lamaar - I would check the ACL on your collegues mail file, and make sure the box is checked for "Delete Documents". I believe the default setting (even for Person/Manager)has the "Delete Documents" box unchecked, which would be a reasonable explaination for what you're...
Tina,
The default local Address Book is the "names.nsf" file in the "...lotus\notes\data" directory. If you are on a shared machine, typically the Personal Address Book is shared among all the users.
If you are on a shared machine, one thing you can do is make a copy of the...
I would go with the multiple location documents (File...Mobile...Locations). You can select (Click once) on 'Office', or whichever location is your default, then Ctrl-c to copy and Ctrl-v to paste. Select the duplicate location document and click "Edit Location".
As already mentioned...
