this Novell TID is about corrupt DOS Partitions but this is not the case. the DOS Partition didn't show any problems and kept all data on it! at the moment we don't use any SmartStart CDs, install all manually and had no problems at the moment.

hi, we got an information that all Version 6 Smart Start CDs had this problem and it should be resolved with Version 6.4. I just learned that we had this issue also on a Server with only 500MB DOS partition! regards and thanks for the help! Ron

sounds like the same problem we had recently. after installing a new Netware server with Arcserve we couldn't connect with the AS-Manager. the reason is mostly SLP, sometimes it's o.k. to write your Servername and IP in the Manager-PCs hosts-file first try to reregister your server in SLP...

At the Moment I tryout Arcserve9 for Netware and installed the Manager with Crossplatformmodule on a W2k workstation. The Manager is also showing Server with Arcserve 7 on Netware and Arcserve2000 on Windows. It works fine with the AS7 on Netware but login to Arcserve on Windowsservers dosn't...

I had the same Problem with Arcserve 7 but after updates from Compaq!! instead of loading nwtape.cdm in startup.ncf I used dlttape.cdm and it worked. :-)
