    Thanks for seeing that. Unfortunately it didn't seem to change the results of "inquire" or "jbconfig". I stopped and disabled the Removable Storage service, rebooted. Didn't work, so I even went in to Windows 2000 Device Manager, removed the "Medium Changer" device and let it redetect on...

    Thanks for the info. I've verfied file permissions. Results of jbconfig and inquire pasted below. Unfortunately, I'm moving into territory that I haven't had much experience with. Any chance this is some kind of SCSI connectivity issue - or maybe the driver for the tape drive itself...
