You are correct, of course. I've set it manually since 2007. However, it would be cool to have updated firmware and automatic DST. Geek tendencies cropping up again, I'm afraid. Still have not gotten an answer about cost, but one of the BPs returned my call.
Thanks, exsmogger, I have seen them too. I hesitate to buy because I don't know which firmware upgrade is the most recent and secondly, because some of those PC cards are one-time upgrades. My understanding is that the card will upgrade one system, and after that acts as the backup/restore...
Thanks for the Metroline Direct tip. I have emailed two Business Partners in my area that I found easily through their "Find an Installer" page; will let you know how it turns out. Metroline is where I bought my processor and phones 8 years ago.
Ten years ago we bought this house with a Partner II system supporting two copper lines. I upgraded it about 2004 to Partner ACS R6 with a 308EC R3 module in a 2-slot carrier. I installed and programmed the new system myself. F59 on my system shows P ACS R6.0 C01
Now would like to find the...
drewmich, touchtone, 392, and others:
The vendor shipped a replacement processor (ACS R6) which I installed and programmed today. The original BU/R card (blue-green label, copyright 2002) is now working perfectly in the new proc. The PVM R3 (Small) is in slot 1, and it is also working fine...
Unfortunately I don't have a remote access card, only the backup/restore. The new processor is on the way. I'll keep the two backup cards (the proc probably will also arrive with one) and I'll check the backup function first after getting the new hardware installed.
Is there any use in doing...
Thanks for the advice, Touchtone and all of you. The vendor agrees that the port on the ACS R6 processor unit is probably defective, and a new proc is being shipped to me. The PVM R3(S) works fine in its slot(1) but the backup card would not work when I put it in slot 1 and powered back on...
I'm probably out of my league here, but a rep at Metroline told me that the password for remote access to the ACS system has to be reset from Station 10 prior to each remote access session. Allegedly this is true when using the PC software locally AND remotely. Can anyone else confirm?
Rob
My recently purchased ACS R6 will not recognize the Backup/Restore card which came with it. The card is silver with a blue-green label and has a copyright date of 2002. I get "Insert Valid Card" after entering #124. I set an automatic backup, which also failed. The write-protect is...
Thanks for the helpful information in your posts. The information from "392" was really the solution for me. I programmed all my 18D phones to have F03 (Return) on a button. This led me back to the manual, where I discovered how to use Call Waiting on the analog phone as well...
I have a Partner ACS R6 and PVM R3 for my two phone lines in my house. I have four 18D phones and two analog phones. One of those is piggy-backed into an 18D.
We subscribe to SBC's Call Waiting on line 1. After having read the relevant R6 manual sections several times, I can't tell if the...
