If you are referring to the template pallette then there is a checkbox that should say something like, "Show this windows next time PageMaker opens" Check that box and next time PageMaker opens, the template windows should not be there. -Adobe Bob

You can also get a full list of the characters with a PageMaker template that is included with 6.5 and 7.0, I'm not sure if it's included in PM 6.0. The template is called charset.pmt. Do a search for it in your PM Extras folder and open it in PageMaker, then follow the instructions. - Adobe Bob

I also agree that it is not the best workflow to use a JPEG. Tiff's are far better for print output. It's just that I stumbled on that feature and found out it was a transparent JPEG and had no idea how it was being accomplished, but thought I'd at least share it with everyone. - Adobe Bob

Go to Start, Run, type regedit. Then browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Adobe, Media Browser. On the right hand side should be a Plugins key. Delete it. If this does not work, pull out the pictpal.add and scrptpal.add from C:\Program Files\Adobe\PM65\RSRC\Usenglsh\Plugins - Adobe Bob
