How do you backup the user Mailboxes and Public Folders in Exchange 2003? I've searched around for anything that will explain how to do it but I can't find any info on it other that vague references that say 'you should backup.' Help Please.
Partition Magic 8 is very good. You should backup EVERYTHING that you can't afford to lose prior to doing any partition resising, especially a primary. Although unlikely given the size of the drive you stated, an OS reload may be necessary once you're finished. Data is not written...
My server is hosting and works from outside but I get the red x's no matter what I try. It doesn't seem like a permissions issue, it seems more like some service isn't started that needs to be. But what?
Assuming that your Exchange server IP that is hosting the OWA data resolves to www, it sounds like a firewall problem. If the DNS name for your Exchange server is "exchange" as it seems to be if you're able to type http://exchange/exchange in a browser and it works (the machine will...
No, sorry that's not the problem. I set my browser to low security and it's the same result. It says it's loading the images from the /exchweb/img/ directory, but only the red x's show up. And the links give me errors when I click on them.
I'm having a problem with OWA. I can log in via a browser but what is displayed looks like the basic webmail links at the top of the screen like "New" and "Log Off"; the left column has "Inbox" "Calander" "Contact" etc as it should, but without...
I'm having a similar problem with OWA but your suggestions didn't help. I can log in via a browser but what is displayed looks like the basic webmail links at the top of the screen like "New" and "Log Off"; the left column has "Inbox" "Calander"...
Yes I resolved it. I ended up calling the Microsoft Tech Support at $250 per incedent and found out that the DNS Server setup of the OS wasn't setup the way that Exchange requires.
Using the Wizard seems to work ok, but I need to pull the Public folders off the 5.5 NT server and get them onto the 2003 Server. I can't seem to be able to export or copy the public stuff off the 5.5 server, and the 2003 wizards don't say anything about Public folders, they just have mailbox...
I've got a new Exchange 2003 server working and I now need to transfer the large Contacts list from my old Exchange5.5 server (which is on a different domain) onto the new 2003 server. Is there a folder or one file that I simply copy over? If so where would I find such a file or folder? I...
Specifics. Small office. 5 worksatations all with XP Pro. 1 brand new server. Fresh load of Windows 2003 Server Standard. Setup Domain Controller, Active Directory, DNS, IIS/.Net, made sure specific things such as smtp were loaded as per instructions. I then loaded Exchange Server 2003...
Will Exchange 2003 Server Standard function properly on a Windows 2003 Server Standard edition? That's what I've got and everything seems to have loaded properly but the Exchange server will not show up in the Server Management list anywhere. Can anyone give me a clue. The server doesn't show...
I've just done a fresh install of Win2003 server and Exchange 2003 as well. I'm having a different problem of the exchange server not showing up in the System Manager. It's just not there! I was hoping you could give me a clue. I've followed all the steps for installing but I'm having no...
OK, I've looked in the System Manager tool and the server does NOT show up anywhere. There is nothing in the Admin Group folder. When I run the dcdiag tool I get the following results.
Domain Controller Diagnosis
Performing initial setup:
Done gathering initial info.
Doing initial...
