Bought a USR software modem at Sam's to replace a fried one for a client. I've done this a lot of times, btw. Guy's running a Duron 700. Modem causes a blue screen everytime I try to dial or run diagnostics.

The client's old machine was non-functioning and he had lost the installation disk.

I moved a client's old hd to a new machine. The old bios required overlay software (WD's Ontrack Disk Manager). The purpose here is simply to extract the old data: we can then fdisk and reformat the drive to FAT32.
As mentioned in other posts on this subject, Win98 doesn't assign a drive...
