I am trying to connect two cisco 1600's together to simulate a WAN link. I want to use the serial ports (obviously) to do this, my question is, can this be done using cat5? Does anyone know what the pin configuration is? Or know where I can find articles on this? Thanks for any advice

just a bit more of advice, when you finish configuring your router, save a back up config to a tftp server. copy run tftp or copy start tftp will get this done for you. you can get one from the cisco web site, it is really easy to do.

OKay, I now can start/stop the CDR output to the terminal ;) However, I still have the problem when I shut off the terminal, I loose the CDR output to the AS/400. So, my next big question is, can anyone tell me the proper way to set up the CDR data to go to the AS/400? Can I create a new port...

make sure when you copy the TN to the phone you copied that it is a digital/analog phone getting a digital/analog TN. I dont believe you can copy a analog TN to a digital phone and vice versa. hope this helps ride98red

I cannot seem to stop the output of CDR records to my terminal. I thought I could start/stop it using LD 15 but that doesnt seem to work anymore. I dont know what I changed to make it do this but am very frustrated in making it stop. If anyone could help, please let me know. Thanks a million

Currently Meridian is spitting out data to an AS/400. The output for the most part looks fine, however, sometimes the call records run together making one long string of multiple call records. Is there a way to format the output so this doesnt happen? I know how to do this when a terminal is...
