my problem is that when I try to open a linked table in an Oracle database from Access, there is a prompt for the username/password for the Oracle database. The users cannot type in their username because the field is grey out and retains the username that was used to set up link to the oracle...- richardstoy

login name when connecting to Oracle
my problem is when I log onto the Oracle database from my Access mdb using odbc a popup windows prompts for login name and password. Does anyone know why the login name is already filled in and sometimes it is grey out so that the login name can not be changed ?- richardstoy
