Translate PCL Code Into Text
Some years (and PCs) ago, I found a shareware program that would read a print file and translate PCL code, command-by-command into their meanings. I can't find such a thing any more. Does anybody know of a program like that now? Thank you, Rich -
Script to prepend text file w/pcl to fit page
Anybody have a script (maybe perl?) that you can pass a text file to, and it will determine the length of the longest line in the file, then pre-pend the file with PCL code that will size and orient the text so that it will best fit a letter sized page in a non-proportional font? For example... -
PCL Compression / optimization
I have used pcldiet. It doesn't appear to be supported any more as I too tried for a long time to get a response from Mr. Walter. pcldiet is a DOS based program. I sometimes find it to be a bit touchy but have always managed to make it work. For me, it seems to work best with the pcl drivers...
