In your sendmail.cf file just insert this DSyour_exchange_server.foo.com sendmail will use your exchange server as its smart host. give it a go and let see if it will work.

IN the sendmail.cf file look for "SMTP daemon options" You will see O DaemonPortOptions=Name=MTA O DaemonPortOptions=Port=587, Name=MSA, M=E just change 587 to 2525. give it a try it might work.

I have this problem in my mail server. each time a user send an email ta multiple recipient and one of this recipient doesn't exist it will send a bounce message saying all recipient doesn't exist but actually only one email address doesn't exist. any encountered this problem already? please...

just use "system" for you to be able to send email. This enables you to execute system commands thru perl.

enable quota in your kernel and set a quota for each user. for more info man edquota

check your ppp.conf

create a firewall for your box that only your network can access your mail server or certain IP's

You will have to enable quota in your kernel and in your sendmail config look for "Mlocal" and add -b. this option will reject all email if the quota for each user exceeds

just delete all messages in /var/spool/mqueue. you might also need to delete some in /var/spool/clientmqueue

insert those 2 hostnames to /etc/mail/local-host-names. :)

How can I restrict certain users from recieving email from outside world?

I just found out that to be able to view the content of a magnetic tape you will need to use "restore" :)
