When I ran the memtest 86 the system hung after about 5 minutes of running. So that tells me that it's more than likely a hardware issue. I just wish I could tell what piece is bad. I'm going to reseat all of the devices tonight and see if I can get any farther with it. Robert

After I click the user to log in as (all users do the same) it will look like everything is ok and then I begin working and it will lock up. I can't do anything. So I have to shut it down by holding the power button in. Then I power it up again and the same thing occurs. Robert

The user I was working with said they had downloaded an update for IE 6 so that must have corrupted this system also. Luckily they had the proper restore disks and I was able to get the system back to working order. My question is how did you revert back to IE 5 using a boot disk? Thanks Robert

I ended up running a format and recover using the recovery disk sent with the PC. It was an HP pavilion pc. Robert
