Hi,
Even though it's been awhile since my first post, I'm still having the same problem. We totally re-formatted the hard drive, but the computer still takes anywhere from 3-10 times to get it to start. Could something be getting weak inside. We usually have it on all day if we're using it or...
Is the problem with the printer causing the computer not to start? It's really getting annoying have to start, then shut down 8 or 10 times just to windows to load.
Another problem that I just discovered, something called BackWeb Agent keeps running or acting up. What is this and what does it do? Can I delete it? Would re-formatting the hard drive help, or does it sound like it's just a virus or something? Any help is greatly appreciated. :-D
My husband decided to try re-loading again. When doing so it came back with the long list of errors:
HP6BX07.D11
HPODJ907.DRV
HPOENG07.EXE
HPO1ME07.DLL
HPO1MG07.DLL
HPO1MN07.DLL
HPOJUI07.DLL
HPOOPM07.EXE
HPOPC107.DLL
HPOPFM07.DLL
HPOPRN07.DAT
HPOU1P07.DLL
As you can see I think we have some...
My husband recently thought he needed to reload Windows ME because it was acting up. After doing so, now we have to try & start the computer at least 5-8 times, (sometimes more) to get it to start. It will just come up with the HP logo on the blue screen. It also freezes up alot more now. Is...
I did that, but in the control panel it still doesn't show themes. When you first go to the control panel, it has all the options like "Date/Time, Internet Options, Printers, Display, Add/remove Programs, etc." When I go to the Display it just shows "background, screensaver, web...
O.K., I just tried unchecking the "themes" in the windows setup tab. It didn't work, I still have a car as my hourglass, and a reving sound every time you change screens. I didn't use a disk to download this theme, it was just something that I saw on the internet and downloaded. You'd...
I went to the start, settings, control panel, but I can't find "themes". My computer has "display" listed & when I go to it, all it has is the "background", "screensaver", etc., but no themes. Under the "apperance" I set it to the default icons...
I'm back with yet another problem. I recently downloaded a desktop theme, but now how do I get rid of it? I changed the background, but the icons that went with the old one are still here. I began having trouble with a jerky mouse again and thought this might have something to do with it. Or...
I tried doing what you suggested, but ran into a problem. I can't find what type of modem I have. When clicked on, it says it's a Lucent Modem, but when trying to find out more, it says no version listed. So when I'm trying to select a driver to match my modem in the list, which one do I use? It...
I tried doing what you suggested, but I still can't seem to find them there. When I went to My Computer, Display, Backgrounds, there still not in the menu list. When I download them, I send them to My Documents. Am I doing something wrong, or will I not be able to put them in that background list?
Do you mean that you installed a different driver or a different modem? If it's just a different driver where would I find it to download it & would I need to uninstall my old drivers for my modem?
Im' not sure of what you mean by speed of internet. I have a dial-up-connection and a 56k modem. Usually the speed that I connect at runs from 40,000-46,000. Thanks for any help or suggestions. [thumbsup2]
