    Thanks BodesMan for your reply. Yes have tried the Illustrator take - but to no avail. Our RIP used to rip other files straight from programs. But we then upgraded to a MAC G5 with tiger and this is the way we have to go. Apparently the RIP/Imagesetter isn't compatible with OS 10 at all...

    Hp deskjet 5550 cant print from InDesign 2.0.2

    Thanks for the responses. No there is no placed PDF in the file. And yes I can print a PDF to the printer. But when you are doing proofs this is a pain and a waste of time. Its just that the HP gives a lot better colour for proofs than the OKI that I can print to. So anyone else with Ideas...

    Hi I was hoping someone might be able to shed light on my problem. I need to print to a HP deskjet5550 printer and at the moment keep getting error code -4290. I am using InDesign 2.0.2 with Mac OS 9.2 Any ideas or help will be mostly appreciated thank you.
