In order to use Outlook Express POP3, you must install the MS Proxy client on the PCs needing access. It can be found on the Proxy server in a share called "mspclnt".

Sounds like SP6 might have upgraded a driver file that your PC does not like. Usually the type of error you are getting is related to hardware. You might try booting up into vga mode just to see if it boots. If it does, then you are most likely looking at a video driver issue.
If you are asking where to download Proxy Server from, it was a product that had to be purchased on CD. The suggested retail price at the time was $995! I don't know if anyone still has a copy for sale. I guess you could check the auction sites. You might also do some web searching for...
Sounds like you are going to have to do a parallel install and then edit the files in the original install from there. You should be able to temporarily disable the service for the driver by editing the original registry. Also, you should be able to temporarily disable the program from running...
Not sure if this is the same issue I had or not. If so, you could try the following...
Turn off the printer.
Remove the JetDirect card.
Power up the printer.
Wait until it is finished starting up.
Shut down the printer.
Put the JetDirect back in.
Turn on the printer.
Hopefully this will fix it.
