You will not have any problems if you use Metaframe 1.8 on the new 2000 servers. We ran 35+ mixed NT4 (sp4 & sp6) with W2K (SP2 & SP3) servers , with over 50 published Apps & Desktops, for over 3 years now.
Going to Metaframe XP is fine as well if you upgrade the NT4's to Metaframe XP...
I seen this lots. The problem is most likely his profile did not unload from the last logon, or load properly.
Logon on as a Admin then use REGEDT32 (not regedit) go to 'HKEY_USERS' then just look for a profile that doesn't have a matching "_Classes" Key and unload it.

Try pruning down your registry size.. IE. Rename Or remove users profiles that have not used Citrix in 30 days.
In the M:\wtsrv\profiles\ dir rename username to *.old Or using system properties \ Users Profiles (Delete) older profiles.
First. Is it a published app.? If just redo the published app.
Second. Do you see the path as a UNC when the use tries to launch the app.? If so you have to go though explorer all users and recreate the short cuts to all the apps. pointing to the app. using browse don't cut and paste the path...
The fix is copy the Abobe 'UNIPRINT.API' plugin from the Uniprint install cd to the plugin's dir. under the Adobe Acrobat install on your citrix server.
Note different verisons of the API for different UNIprint ver's.
