the link you provided worked in our lab, it was a later version thank the previous Radiant supplied patch. Using tzedit seems to work also, and I like the idea of actually fixing each terminal, as opposed to just patching the BOH and then making Aloha adjust it for the FOH.
By using tzedit on the terminals and BOH, I assume we're good until they decide to make another change, because we're changing the windows registry.
If I understand correctly, The Radiant method only applies changes to the BOH registry, and then edits the .ini that gets sent to the FOH. So...
Regarding changes to daylight savings, I have used tzedit.exe from MS to edit the appropriate time zones for FOH and BOH, but there is some questions as to whether this is all that is required. Do we need to edit the ini file to change timezone to international? I admit we're flying by the...
Oooops, yes you are correct. Those are devices, but since my devices weren't showing up either I didn't remember.
I had only the first 8 services listed starting with Alerter and dhcp client are ones I know were there...
Eventlog, directory replicator, ftp, IIS, Messenger, DHCP Server and...
We have an NT4.0 Server box that still serves a purpose. On our event viewer there are 2 errors of particular services not starting, no problem, we can disable the service. ( application has long since been removed) Anyway, when we checked the list of services, it only shows a few of the...
Does this scenario require a windows server version on BOH? or is XP Pro sufficient? they have XP Pro, but I can tell the support guy is not happy with something.
They are running 4 video screens as well. (KIWI)
yes, both versions are licensed, and I will assume the key is correct for the sake of argument. This customer has a large restaurant, and then a seperate fast food business downstairs. I will be tasked with hardware support, but wanted to know how this dual setup would differ from a standard...
Is anyone familiar with running Aloha Table Service and Aloha Quick service both on one BOH, and sharing EDC? Are there any gotchas? or helpful hints?
Thanks, Rich
In taskmanager I have something listed as WIFD1.EXE, it will not allow me to end the process. I can find no reference to in the registry, or in services. I don't know if it is a bad thing, I just don't know what it is. I even did a search of the hard drive for that file, but no luck. Google...
Ahhhhh.... Now we have an answer, they are in the process of setting up E-card, (new to me) and it isn't set up completely. It beeps periodically and if we bring up the little icon in the task bar, it has errors... The owner said "oh yes, that's about the time it started"...
Thank you for...
Most of our customers use broadband internet for EDC, but rely on dial-up for Amex transactions to save on fees...
One customer has a problem with the modem/port remaining open after the transaction completes. It seems to operate fine, in that all transactions are approved, however we can hear...
Okay, found our own answer. Obviously, nothing currently available at the retailers will support NT, though I did find a Hawking Technology HWP54G that listed NT on the box as supported, it didn't include drivers, and a call to tech support verified it was a misprint.
A search of Ebay found...
