NT4 to Win2k
PETERVE has offered your best solution. NT4 will not allow you demote a PDC to BDC unless it was originally configured as a BDC. NT4 also will not allow you to promote a standalone to BDC or PDC. W2K does not have these limitations.- rcunning

Win 2K Server not reading tape in tape drive
You may be dealing with a firmware issue. I had similiar problem with IBM Netfinity 5000 servers and Tape drives under WinNT 4.0. The problem turned out to be a firmware upgrade. Check this site http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/tape/mafw_lvl.html- rcunning

quick launch bar has disapeared
In my initial review of the policy editor I was unable to determine the setting that is blowing you away. Under WinNT each user has profile created. In WINNT/Profiles/<username>/Application Data/Microsoft/Internet Explorer you will find the Quick Launch folder. I don't remember where this...- rcunning
