I have about 5 parameters. Each one has a DEFAULT setting with the verbiage of "All". I tried creating IF statements in the Selection formula but I would have a mamoth amount of embedded statements. So I thought that I would create a formula for each parameter such as:

Hi,
I have a situation where I have a table that is a multivalued table. Meaning, it has one key but has 15 or more value records (basically like an array). Problem is those value records are not identified as a number within the array.
My delimma is I need to say select the 3rd record...
They are messages that the system cannot communicate with the printer. I had gone in and #ed out most everything in the /etc/syslog.conf and even restarted the syslog daemon and yet it still would display on my screen the error message.

Anyone know of how to turn off lp errors from popping up into my telnet session when logged in as root? Obviously fixing the lp error is a good step but trying to fix it while it keeps displaying a message when logged in as root is driving me nuts!
thanks

Hi,
When I add a user in smit it is defaulting to /home/username.
How can it I change it so it will default to some other directory? I assume there is some config file somewhere?

Alex,
That is what I need to do. But the program that sends the output to the printer has to send it to a valid AIX print queue or a file. So I need that output to be sent, call the script, manipulate data, then actually send it to its destination.

Hi,
I have a program that sends information to a valid print queue. What I need to do is have the print queue call a script and manipulate the output that the program sent.
Any way to get a print queue to call a script and use the output that would normally have printed to the queue?

Hi,
I created a remote queue in smit for a Sharp printer. This is setup as a "BSD" printer. Host name is specified in the /etc/hosts file, printing to PORT1, and queue name is SH.
Below is qconfig entry:
SH:
device = @sals
up = TRUE
host = sals...
seems that the first user that logs in is getting email notifications if a printer fails, etc. Any way to turn off email notification? We use the pine as our email. I'm thinking there is a sco setup somewhere to turn off email notification or have it route to root instead of a user?

Hi,
I have a script that runs each night that works fine, however today it came back with an error:
cpio: Bad magic number/header.
First it copies the files to tape:
cpio -ocBv > devicename < files
Then it reads for a file at the end:
cpio -icvumB "/PATH/TESTFILE" < devicename...
I just installed SCO on an ACER PC. Installed fine... working fine. Except for my NIC card. First I have no idea what make or model of nic card I have. (sad but that is the case). I've looked at it and grabed what numbers are on there and searched but can't find the "manufacturer"...
Here is a script problem, wondered if anyone can help me with. I'm taking output from a report:
*05-9999 SPECIAL ORDER 1/8 DRILL 1 5.00
*21-1000 VENDOR CATALOG PART 1 2.10

When I login to sco I find I must hit enter a few times. I checked my .profile and /etc/profile and don't see anything that would cause it to pause. This a telnet connection. I login fine but after hitting the password, I then have to hit enter twice to get to a $ or #. Any way to not have to...
