I found the answer on the Symatic web page. You turn it off by changing the Pause key to another character in Options... Systems Options ... System- rbb

Trouble with tilde "~"
Hi! I am writing scripts to pick up data that includes fields that are named with an embedded tilde. For example the field might be NAME~. While this works on a direct input basis, I have not been able to find a way to include the tilde in a transmit function. ex transmit "NAME~"...- rbb
