Cant replicate in safe mode as I have to use different keyboard and mouse (PS2)

This is just wierd.

Thanks again for your ideas.
I have now done all of them but the problem remains.
The problem only now appears when I have IE7 pages open and when the mouse is over the page.
Moving it back to the desktop or onto another program window and it behaves normally again.

Sorry but I dont have another machine to use this on. I have tried both old and latest drivers but still get the same. However I have run task manager while using IE7 and it is worse when I have a msn game running when CPU usage goes up to 99% or I have two browsers (not tabs) open at the same...
linney,
Thanks for that.
I had to reset IE7 to get it working properly but my mouse is still wierd. Using a PS2 mouse seems to have no problems.
The mouse seems worse when IE7 is running.
Thanks again.

I am experiencing a range of problems that may or may not be connected except they all started at the same time.
I find that pages in IE7 are slow to load or wont load and refresh has to be used (clicking on a link here at Tek Tips takes about 30 seconds to load) Interactive sites do not always...
Thanks for that Lemon 13.
I had switched indexing service to manual but I hadn't unticked the box in the disk properties. I've now turned that off on my drives and see if that makes a difference.

I have run AV and Spyware including Norton, AVG, Kaspersy, Spy Doctor, Ad Aware...
Thanks stduc and smah,
Your tips worked. I unticked the box then ticked it and highlighted my account and unticked it again and is is now logging inbto my account.
Thanks

Thanks Greg
However I have already done this without success. I have run a range of Spyware engines and my system seems clean.
I think the easiest way may be to copy all my settings to Admin and use that as it comes up first.

I am running XP Pro SP2 and am now finding something strange. Ever since I first used XP Pro (when it first came out) on start up it has always logged on to my account. Now it has started logging on to another account and offers a Tour of Windows. It does not show any icons from progeams I have...
HeY!!
I've solved it. Hidden in Programs/Microsft Office/ Microsoft Tools is 2003 language settings and here there is an option to default to US.
Changing that to UK solved it.
Ray
I have run detect and repair. The language tab then became visible in new messages in Outlook. I changed the language in Word to Afrikaans and defaulted it. On reboot it had changed to English UK.
However I can now select laguages when I start a new message in Outlook but, even though i default...
