    I am running Windows 2000 server with AD. Under this domain I made a Admin user OU and a regular user OU. The regular OU has policies applied to it, the admin, I thought would have full control.     Has the domain controller been rebuilt or crashed since when the users have been created? This was the case for me. Same error that you have. The computer that were still looking for the old DC which was renamed.
