I am running Windows 2000 server with AD. Under this domain I made a Admin user OU and a regular user OU. The regular OU has policies applied to it, the admin, I thought would have full control. I logon to the domain and I still do not have rights to the power options. What can be the problem...
It is taking me a good 2 min to logon to a windows 2000 server. When i logon to the domain using win2k workstations it takes no longer than 10 secs...do you know why?

I have applied the policies that i want to enforce including the background wallpaper setting. I chose the background that i want to load at logon but the policy is not being applied for some reason. Any Suggestions?
Has the domain controller been rebuilt or crashed since when the users have been created? This was the case for me. Same error that you have. The computer that were still looking for the old DC which was renamed.
