Out of office is turned on, yet it doesn't return an out of office e-mail.
I have tried sending to the e-mail address from different addresses (hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.) and no out of office return.
Yet, if I open Outlook, it says the out of office is turned on (it asks if I want to turn it...
Where can I setup a password policy that will be applied to everybody in our domain ?
For example, every password expires after 3 months, has to have a length 6-26, has to have at least 1 letter / 1 number
?
Thanks.
still nothing ...
Local policy / audit policy / audit object access
the column "local setting" says "success"
however, the column "effective setting" says "no auditing"
?
I also changed it to "success" in the
- "domain controller security policy"
- "domain security policy"
still nothing...
Is it supposed to go into the Security log ?
Everything is setup on the (only) domain controller
1. auditing for that folder is enabled for the "domain users" group
2. local policy/object access/audit success
However, no "object access" entries appear in the Security log !?
Any ideas ... ?
We have a server where share a folder where we keep the documents that everybody needs to work with.
Is it possible in Windows 2000 server to log which user does what in this folder ?
I am specifically interested in moving and deleting (of files and folders)

- clients are running SP2 yes, I haven't disabled the firewall yet, should I ?
- some mailboxes are unaffected; but 90% is affected (some running XP SP2, some working on the terminal server on Win2000 Server)
- in the weekend, speed is good; it slows down in the week.
- OWA seems to be slower...
We did an ISINTEG -fix followed by another offline defragmentation, and this speeded up the server.
It is still slow at times.
The next thing to try would be to EXMERGE the mailboxes and settings, and then import into a clean information store.
