Just going one step back now that we have the solution, would it not have been possible to use: =IDENTICAL(A1:A7, "Bird") I suppose it would need adapting a bit, because there were additional words within the cells (e.g. small black bird, bird without feathers, bird on a roof) so it wouldnt be...- raefe77

Many thanks Geoff, we found the bird! Your last example worked whilst trying it in the same row. So in future a golden rule, for me, is to ALWAYS put the formula in the SAME ROW at the end (next to the data in subject)?? Otherwise the formula won't work? simple EXCEL filter function
I cant find out how to output data (e.g. BIRD) that is within several columns of one Excel datasheet into a new datasheet. The thing is that BIRD isnt always in one of the 9 columns, so I only want the rows pasted that actually have the word within the row's nine columns. This is what I think...- raefe77

Instead of the usual http://192.168.0.1 I mistakenly put "127.198.0.1" in the browser to access my Internet router. Usually if I put a wrong number in it says "this page cannot be found". But this time, by coincidence, it asks for pw etc. Under the above ip I couldnt find anything in Google... -

Automatic laptop login to Network (main PC)
Thanks to both of you. I changed the account name to the same as the Win2000 computer, but the login window still appears. Then I took out the password (same as on main computer) and now it logs on automatically. Though the original name still shows up on windows logon, the account name is now...- raefe77
