When you auto-create the DataAdapter through the wizard it defaults to creating Insert,Update, and Delete commands to access the database also. I would imagine that VB.Net cannot find a primary key or unique row identifier in your database table (does it have an identitiy field or primary key?)...
Peter,
Sorry for not replying that I had come up with a possible solution. I appreciate the effort you put into your post and it helped me a good bit by giving a concrete example to contrast to my report.
Thanks again and a star for you!!

Peter,
I wanted to stick with the Shop Calendar table as we also use some non-standard holiday days as well as scheduled plant shutdowns etc. To that end I have taken a similar approach in the subreport that you suggested but with a little different twist.
I pass to the subreport the...

I am working on a Vendor Performace report and have run into a problem. I would like to compare when we receive materials on a PO against the request date of the PO. I can do this part fine, however the problem comes in when I want to determine if...
Canimp,
Are you looking for notifications with the completion of the entire order or at stages in the production process?
One way that you could do it is look at the Routing attached to the Shop Order (if you are using them). The Standard Product Routing is attached to the material...
maccrystal,
That's exactly what is happening to me and I was able to duplicate the "bug/feature" internally. Once I restarted Macola PWE on the two systems that I have seen the problem on (and are also machines on the shop floor that were not logged off as they should have been) the...
Dgillz,
Yes, unfortunately for me the AM/PM portions of the date are correct. On further investigation I have found that the Trx Date field on the Activity Trx by Shop Order screen is set to the previous day and this provides the datestamp for compl_date (ie it is user-settable) for the two...

I am having some funkiness in SFDTLFIL_SQL that I cannot explain and I hope that you all can help. We currently have Production Associates recording activity against Shop Orders on the Shop Floor using the Shop Floor Activity Transaction screen in Shop Floor Control. I...
The Email warning was put in place to help stop the slew of Outlook propagated viruses that sprang up over the past couple years or so. I seem to remember reading that you can write a COM add in for Outlook and register that with your mail server as a "trusted" add in, but I am a little fuzzy on...
Another example that I have used MOD for is Order Entry data validation. Our customers order from us by the piece but we require them to buy based on agreed upon box qtys that reflect efficient lot sizes for us.
I have a Crystal Report that is run daily to check for Order Qty's that are not...
Fredp,
On an unrelated look at the SQL Server Online Book I ran across this entry in the 'View Hints' area.
Not sure if this helps or not but seemed to apply here, but if that is the case it makes me wonder why evaluating for isnull of the RHS field does not work?
Hello everyone,
I have a Crystal Report in a webproject that I am using that has a subreport in the reportheader. The report is defined as a strongly typed report in the VB.Net IDE.
I have no problems drilling down into the subreport when viewing the Crystal Report with Crystal...
Makes sense then. I tried to add in the "AND" to link multiple statements in the IF/ELSE block with I still receive an error.
Here is an example of my current nested IF/ELSE formula
IF {wc} = "AP" THEN
shared numbervar ap:=shared numbervar ap +
({@hours_avail_by_work_center} -...
Maybe we are talking about different things here but using multiple lines in IF/Else control structures is common in many languages, don't nearly all of them support the use of code blocks inside IF/Else structures?
For example here are a few lines of code that I picked at random from a VB .Net...
