Check your event log for errors relating to this problem
Then check the error msg from www.eventid.net and this will give you a clue to the problem.This kind of problem happened to me but realised that the clock of the system was set two years back so I had to reset the clock.

Is it the only workstation on the network? First run the ipconfig /all command for your ip configurations then ping the domain controller from that xp machine.

First check the server ip configurations ie it should point to itself for dns and reboot the server and let us know what happens.
Is the brain 2 computer a dc or a workstation? if you have two or more dcs make sure you check the ip configurations and reboot all the dcs
It appears you have been able to isolate the problem because if events 51 and 34 are disk related and the disks are related to the raid controller then possibly the raid controller drivers needs to be updated
I suggest you go to the manufacturer web site and look for any updates for the raid...
